There’s just something about working in oils that feels…epic. It has a sense of antiquity and mysticism that calls for a certain amount of deference. For its own undisclosed reason, this medium makes me lean into fantasy. The imagery all stems from something real, but selective removal of environment and context places them in an alternative reality.
